Salesforce Inc. seeks Director Software Engineering in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Drive execution and implementation strategy to consistently meet committed milestones and delivery scope. Design and implementation of Marketing automation capabilities that are completely built and integrated into the Salesforce platform. Analyze and influence product direction and functional requirements. Drive cross-functional planning and reviews, working closely with a team of product managers, usability experts, and quality engineers to build scalable products for Salesforce's customers. Participate in and promote architectural initiatives, balancing long-term velocity with short-term customer needs. Ensure that the Architecture is well-vetted and scrutinized through a rigorous review process, prioritizing Quality, Availability, Performance and Security standards within team(s). Facilitate team stand-ups, planning, and review meetings as Scrum master and functional manager. Responsible for building teams that consistently meet Agile standards and champion the Agile methodology, and load Balance and pivot resources as necessary to align with evolving business priorities. Manage escalations, production issues, and new product deployments to customers. Strategize to perform root cause analysis of software defects, used to identify a problem, devise a way to fix it, and correct any customer data that may have been corrupted. Interview, hire, and onboard new developers to the team. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and assistance with reports. Write performance appraisals and career planning for reports. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Object oriented programming; (2) Java; (3) SQL; (4) Spring; (5) Hibernate; (6) Relational Data modeling; (7) Scrum master (3 years); (8) iOS programming; (9); JavaScript. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $237,120.00 - $334,600.00 per annum.
