The Parts, Libraries, and Obsolescence Department is looking for individuals to provide Components Engineering support for the circuit card design process, turning designs into robust and reliable reality. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality producible designs.  Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews. 

What You Will Do:

  • We are looking for aspiring Electrical Engineers to support the following Component Engineering focus ensuring cost effective and robust parts are used to ensure successful products, by selecting, specifying, and determining application adherence for electrical components. 
  • Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop component risk and verification data packages that will support component selections and provide justification to program customers.  Component Engineers will identify parts to be included on the preferred parts list, drive usage of these standardized parts, provide recommendations to mitigate obsolescence issues, and identify solutions to meet customer component requirements. 
  • Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews. 

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or printed circuit board design.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
