Warehouse Team Lead

Job Summary

The WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER works under the direction of the warehouse manager; oversees all unloading and stocking of incoming products; provides training and direction for subordinates; can fill in for all receiving related warehouse positions; misc. duties.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

      1.  Supervise and work with the warehouse employees.

       a.  Train, coach and develop employees

       b.  Unload incoming products

       c.  Verify incoming products with packing lists

       d.  Stock incoming products in designated areas

      2.  Notify/work with the warehouse manager on items that need done or repaired.

      3.  Make sure employees observe all safety rules.

      4.  Post “to do” list for each area so team members know what needs attention and when it’s to be completed.

      5.  Ensure products are in their designated locations and restocked as needed.

1.       Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications.
2.       Must possess a friendly and helpful attitude.
3.       Ability to delegate work and train others.
4.       Ability to plan and organize.
5.       Must be able to lift up to 75-100 pounds on a continuous basis.

1.       Assist in the hiring and training of good employees.
2.       Increase/maximize employee productivity.
3.       Enforce safety rules and company policies and procedures.
4.       Unload, check in, and submit packing lists for all products within 1 day of arrival.

 Minimum Qualifications

            High School Diploma or equivalent.

            2 years of supervisory experience or equivalent education.
