POSITION SUMMARY:

The mission of this position is to address business issues by identifying and developing solutions to meet the business’ needs. The Cloud Data Application Engineer will formulate and define objectives based on business needs and an understanding of best practices. This position will work on data science initiatives and projects that include statistical analysis and building machine learning models. This position will also assist in routine maintenance for specific modules in the Company’s suite of business applications which involves understanding of simple and complex SQLs and stored procedures. The Cloud Data Application Engineer collaborates with business process owners to foster a positive IT customer relations environment. This position’s work includes on-premises and Cloud platform understanding.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Data and Platform:

• Support and manage Cloud-based implementations.
• Writing and debugging complex SQL, Stored procedures.
• Serve as a point of contact for system related escalations.
• Act as a liaison between Cloud IT, business, and functional teams.
• Support Cloud-focused technology initiatives.

 

Data Science:

•  Building ML Models to predict outcomes, classify data.
• Using statistical methods to build trends, correlations, and relationships.
• Interpreting results and communicating to the leadership team and stakeholders.
• Cleaning, processing, and preparing data for analysis.

 

General:

• Troubleshooting a variety of issues, identifying root causes of data issues, and working proactively to find solutions.
