Traveling Housekeeper

Today, the chefs of Upper Crust Food Service prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly for students across the country.

We are seeking a positive, dedicated, driven Traveling Housekeeper to join our growing company to provide housekeeping services to group living environments.  The Traveling Housekeeper will provide training and support for all Housekeeping accounts.  This role requires travel to various locations to address personnel gaps, provide housekeeping services, provide employee training and introduce methods for inventory control.  

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

This is a full-time, hourly position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to travel within a 24-hour notice 
• Provide hands-on best practice training to staff members while on-site at each facility
• Communicate regularly with management via emails, text and calls. 
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation with assistance from management. 

• Ensure compliance with all policies among staff
• Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products in excellent condition; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products  

• Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors as needed  

• Dispose of trash and recyclables from bins and containers  

• Dust, polish and vacuum furniture as needed  

• Scrub sinks, basins, showers, and toilets in bathrooms  

• Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed  

• Keep all public spaces neat and tidy  

• Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered  

• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment 
• Place orders, receive deliveries and process paperwork for supplies

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Demonstrate understanding and proficiency in various cleaning methods, understanding various chemicals and be proficient in cleaning equipment care and maintenance.  
• Show understanding of and commitment to a professional appearance and positive attitude
• Maintain excellent records of inventory 
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Agility and ability to have a big picture perspective
• Must be proficient in English and Spanish
• Must have basic computer skills
