Position Purpose:

Responsible for the overall financial / Operational results of a District in alignment with company Core Values, while selecting, and developing an effective and efficient team and ensuring that the District meets or exceeds its goals as it pertains to regulatory compliance, revenue growth, cost budget, profit growth, safety and continuous improvement.

Key Job Activities:

1) Selects, trains, and develops an effective and efficient staff:
• Makes every reasonable effort to select, train, and develop qualified, diverse workforce.
• Establishes and communicates performance standards and objectives; conducts performance appraisals.
• Recommends salary adjustments, promotions, transfers and dismissals.
• Monitors operations and staff and recommends, when necessary, changes in methods, procedures, structure, and additions or changes in personnel to secure optimum utilization of resources.
• Counsels and coaches employees on educational and job opportunities in order to enhance career development, and keeps staff informed of current problems, procedural/operational changes, and new developments in the department and Company by conducting periodic meetings.
• Administers and communicates all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance and safety.
• Ensures that TEAMS are performing their functions safely and productively. Monitors department work productivity, reports on trends, and recommends and implements changes to continually improve work productivity.
• Develops subordinate managers, particularly in the management techniques of planning, organizing, leading and controlling through continue coaching and feedback on performance.
2) Ensure that the transportation, operations, in-service, and customer related functions are completed timely, accurately and sufficiently to meet standards. Routinely meets with direct reports to review financial results and identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to achieve goals.
3) Supporting your direct reports to ensure Continual Improvement of productivity standards and team member performance in all phases of the operation in order to achieve operational and organizational goals.
4) Review, analyze, approve, and/or submit the following:
• Capital expense requests.
• Monthly expense reporting (AX).
• Monthly revenue/volume reports.
• Budgeting to Actual performance analysis
5) Coordinate District cost savings activities by utilizing Continuous Improvement Practices.
6) Oversees and responds to any and all issues relating to customer relations, regulatory compliance, manager training and evaluation, maximization of equipment, manager productivity, budgetary compliance and District profitability in coordination with Area Director.
7) Provide District leadership, driving team development to ensure retention, bench strength, and creation of positive work environment.
8) Ensure Operational Sustainability
9) Participate in various related leadership councils.
10) Introduce, develop, and support new programs/offerings.

Education:

Required Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent
