PACE Dietary Aide  

Location: Lexington, KY 

Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm


As a BCN Bluegrass PACE Care team member, you will be a part of a program providing all-inclusive healthcare that keeps Kentuckians aged 55+, who may otherwise need nursing home care, living safely at home. Our PACE experts work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to decide what’s best for each PACE participant, bringing all aspects of medical and personal care, plus social and support services. Most care services are provided at the PACE Center, including transportation to and from the Center. About the role:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for the daily preparation and service of participant meals.  The Dietary Aide will comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.  This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 1—2 years’ experience cooking in an institutional food service setting such as a hospital or nursing home.  
  • Ability to read, write and follow recipes and menus. Ability to read and comprehend safety requirements; operating and maintenance instructions; and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Must be able to speak and read English. 
  • Ability to calculate amounts as associated with adjusting recipes, measurements, proportions, percentages, volume, etc.   
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting. 
  • Must have a current Food Handler’s Permit.  
  • Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies. 
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance in compliance with the state insurance laws governing liability, property damage, and bodily injury.
