The Missions Operations Manager provides comprehensive operational, financial, and student-leadership support for the Missions Program at Orange Lutheran High School, helping students internalize the gospel message of salvation in Jesus Christ and prepare to live as Christians in this world. This role manages the financial planning and reporting for all Missions activities, oversees equipment and logistics for mission trips and events, coordinates local engagement and stewardship initiatives, supports the fiscal sustainability of the program through donor and grant relationships, and develops student leaders through direct mentorship, training, and discipleship. The manager works closely with the Director of Missions, the OLu Business Office, the Development Office, Campus Operations, and the Missions Communication and Curriculum Specialist to ensure the program runs smoothly and reflects the school's Christ-centered mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Financial Management: Responsible for the planning, implementing, managing, and evaluating of all financial activities
Manage the budgeting and financial forecasting process, including expenditure negotiations, and implement, review, and revise related finance procedures for the Missions department
Collaborate with the OLu Business Office on financial processes and reporting requirements
Prepare and oversee financial reporting documents for Missions, as directed by the Director of Missions and/or Business Office
Conduct statistical analysis of income and expenses to inform budgeting and forecasting decisions
Communicate with leadership, students, and parents on financial matters, including need-based financial aid for mission trips
2. Equipment Oversight, Trip Development & Missions IT: Prepares for and oversees equipment for mission trips, local engagement activities, retreats, and other events.
Equipment & Logistics
Serve as chaperone team leader on Missions events, locally, nationally, and internationally
Maintain, organize, catalog, and prepare all equipment for trips and for use in Missions offices and classrooms
Recruit and manage volunteers to support equipment stewardship
Trip & Event Development
Develop trip themes and event plans, including evening meeting/devotion schedules; leads select evening meetings
Direct all project leaders
Provide budgetary, financial, and equipment support to the freshman ALL IN retreat and other Missions retreats
Missions Information Technology
Serve as Missions expert on Google Drive operation and document organization, in coordination with the Missions Logistics Specialist
Research Excel and other software to determine what best serves the program
Creates Google Docs and ParentSquare permission forms for all activities, classes, and officer positions
Update the Missions class in PowerSchool as needed, in collaboration with the Missions Communication and Curriculum Specialist
3. Local Engagement, Recycling & Fiscal Sustainability
Local Engagement
Provide opportunities to engage in the local community and track student participation in local service
Lead class activity groups in preparing and implementing local engagement and ecological stewardship opportunities
Develop and deepen partnerships with organizations aligned with OLu's mission and values
Recycling Program: Oversees the recycling program, including scheduling, certification, proper procedures, and facility upkeep:
Create a recycling pickup schedule and maintain recycling certification in coordination with campus Operations
Maintain a clean facility related to recycling operations
Missions Fiscal Sustainability & Stewardship
Build and grow relationships with organizations, individuals, and families supporting OLu Missions, in coordination with the OLu Development Office, including sharing donor information and stewarding existing donor relationships (recognition, solicitation, and long-term relationship building)
Explore, implement, and oversee fundraising projects that align with the mission and fulfill fiscal needs — including distribution of funds raised for student trip participation
Research, identify, and write/apply for grants and other funding opportunities, in coordination with the Development Office and Missions Director
4. Student Leadership Development & Class Community: Member of the Missions team that develops student leaders and builds class community to prepare students to live as Christians in this world.
Develop and oversee instruction and training for the Missions Program Student Leadership Team, walking through the year with student leaders to equip and disciple them
