Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting servers in all areas of dining room service to our guests in a prompt, courteous and professional manner. You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $17.75/hr 
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026 
  • Shift Type: Full Time 
  • Minimum Age: At least 15 years of age 
  • Housing Availability: Yes 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, service standards and assigned duties are performed correctly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a positive and professional rapport with all staff and guests.
  • Be familiar and comply with Brand Standards and NPS Standards.
  • Become knowledgeable of all Food and Beverage items available.
  • Become knowledgeable of general information on GTLC operations and National Park.
  • Greet guests by offering them a warm, heartfelt welcome.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings; make notes of items being served as the specials and of any other information conveyed.
  • Ensure prompt accurate service with anticipation and compliance of all guests’ needs.
  • Give every guest a fond farewell, thanking them for their business and inviting them to come back and see us again.
  • Clean and reset counters and tables.
  • Bring bread and butter to the table and Operate toaster or dessert station as assigned.
  • Work as a food runner or buffet runner as scheduled and/or needed, expediting and carrying food to guests.
  • Assist server with all non-alcoholic beverage service. Refill all beverages when appropriate.
  • Bring clean china, glass and silver from the dish room keeping these items stocked in the various stations and side stations.
  • Bring dirty china, glass and silver from the dish room.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the restaurant maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Responsible for maintaining all restaurant equipment in operational order and report all concerns to the Maintenance Dept.
  • Assist in the opening and closing procedures of the Restaurant
  • Complete all assigned pre-shift side duties and post-shift side duties.
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and pleasant demeanor.
  • Support Food and Beverage management initiatives.
