American Express Global Business Travel is dedicated to helping its clients realize the greatest possible value from their investment in travel through increased cost savings, outstanding customer service and greater spend control and provides travel management consulting expertise, strategic sourcing, and supplier negotiation support around the world. We are seeking a top-tier service engineer to fill the role of Major Incident Manager/ Crisis Manager in the operations center, which provides 24x7x365 incident and outage orchestration and communication for all services in AMEX GBT, with a focus on fast and effective mitigation.

Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  3+ years’ experience with global scale services.
• Minimum 2 years of previous experience working in a 24x7x365 production environment supporting critical real-time applications.
• Good understanding of desktop scripting, profile, mid-office and online booking tools such as Neo, Deem Concur, and GetThere.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule during non-core business hours and be in the on-call schedule 24x7x365 days a year.
• Work location 100% remote anywhere in the US or Mexico is eligible.
• ITIL qualified; Shows strong understanding of Agile/Lean leadership principles.
  Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of web technologies.
• Conversant in Web-based technology with technical and non-technical audience.
• Experience in product testing and quality assurance.

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $50,000 to $100,000.  The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
