Senior Logistics Engineer

You will contribute to the development and implementation of process changes and logistic solutions, continuous improvement initiatives, and the optimization of both production and logistics processes in a dynamic 3PL environment. 

 

About the role

 

How you will contribute

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Account Management, Facilities, and Project Management, to develop and implement solutions aligning with business requirements.
• Provide leadership and support for Continuous Improvement initiatives at the plant level, including work studies, development of standards, and improvements to existing systems, while ensuring flexible layouts that optimize space and material transit distance.
• Develop and maintain headcount analysis tools to assess the impact of business changes, preparing summary reports to support Operations, IT, and Business Process Improvement initiatives.
• Analyze, investigate, and design logistical processes and solutions based on available data, encompassing inbound and outbound processes, warehouse and distribution processes, semi-production processes, and warehouse layouts.
• Utilize Lean Standards in daily tasks and analyses, such as Line Balancing, PFEP, Value Stream Mapping, Process FMEA's, Control Plans, engineering studies, and resource requirements sheets.
• Proactively propose solutions in the areas of mechanization, automation, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Support team colleagues in their continuous professional development.

 

What you will bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, or Technical Logistics.
• Project management knowledge of MTM of MOST.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365: expert in MS Excel, proficient in MS Visio.
• Experience in designing processes and solutions within a service manufacturing environment.
• Experience with WMS and or ERP system(s).
• Experience with LEAN production.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Power BI is a plus.
• You speak and write fluent in English, additional languages are a bonus, in particular Dutch.
