Where we Work
Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

About this role
The Product Design and Research team at Udemy creates exceptional learning experiences for over 70 million learners and 16,000 organizations worldwide. As a Design Operations Intern, you'll work directly with our Senior Design Operations Manager (currently a team of one) to help improve the systems, tools, and processes that enable our 40+ globally distributed product design and research team (spanning seven time zones) to collaborate effectively and do their best work. You'll contribute to operational excellence while helping foster culture, connection, and community across the team.
What you'll be doing:

Support design programs, team rituals, and cross-timezone collaboration

Help manage design tools and workflows that empower designers and researchers

Develop documentation, templates, and systems that improve team efficiency

Assist with planning team events and culture initiatives that bring people together

Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers
Ideal candidate will have:

Background or experience in product design, operations, business, communications, or related fields

Interest in design operations, user experience, project and program management

Familiarity with collaborative tools like Figma, Jira, Confluence, Miro, Google Suite, or similar platforms

Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
