Overview of the Role:
The Trademark Analyst is a position whose key areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Perform preliminary trademark clearance searches on potential name candidates in the US and international databases utilizing CORSEARCH and other online trademark search tools and platforms
- Estimate level of risk/opportunity for utilizing a name as a trademark based on search results
- Determine trademark search protocols and parameters for name development projects
- Educate and advise teams on the trademark process, landscape, limitations and opportunities
- Establish and improve process and client deliverables within the name development group of Fingerpaint Branding
- Provide project scoping and pricing support related to trademark evaluation services for new business activities
Preferred Experience, Skills, Traits:
- Experience as a trademark paralegal or similar position
- Proficiency in conducting trademark searches in CORSEARCH and/or SAEGIS
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- 2-3 years of professional experience appreciated
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, virtual environment
- Efficient and effective working style to ensure deadlines are met
- Fast learner with demonstrated success in fast-paced environment
- Strong written and communication skills
- Innovative and inquisitive to learn new things and explore new products/ideas
