Machine Tool and Facilities Specialist

Meta's Building Maintenance Engineering is looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual who excels at working in a dynamic environment. This individual will collaborate closely with the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and facilities teams to ensure that the building operates at maximum efficiency while providing a safe working environment for everyone.Machine Tool and Facilities Specialist Responsibilities

• CNC machine tool maintenance and repair.
• Troubleshooting and repairing machine tool mechanical systems including ballscrews, linear rails, guideways, and gearboxes.
• Troubleshooting and repairing control and electrical system failures involving PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, servo amplifiers, input/output, and field sensors.
• 3D Printer maintenance and repair.
• Providing preventative and corrective maintenance on various complex 3D printers including Stratasys, HP, Carbon, and BMF.
• Coordination and supervision of landing and commissioning tools.
• Maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems.
• Preparing quarterly and annually machine tool maintenance programs.
• Implementing preventive maintenance schedules for tools and building systems.
• Proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Supporting EH&S teams on safety goals.
• Supporting facilities teams with coordination and direction for trades contractors.
• Consulting and advising facilities teams to minimize downtime.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 10+ years of experience in an industrial discipline operating or repairing machines, equipment, or facility systems.
• Organizational and time management skills
• Experience working independently and as part of a team
• Experience reading and understand building schematics/plans

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of maintenance technician experience.
• 10+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repair.
• 10+ years of experience with one or more of the following CNC control systems: Yasda, Hermle, Kern, Haas, Fanuc, and Heidenhain.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or field service engineer.
• Experience installing, aligning and commissioning 5 axis machines.
• Experience adjusting CNC geometry components including – straightness, squareness, linear accuracy, servo tuning, tool center point control.
• Experience using Renishaw calibration systems including Laser Interferometer and Ballbar.
• Experience in the application & operation of precision machine tools in a prototyping manufacturing environment.
