Job Description
The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive generalist and administrative HR support across assigned client groups and in support to driving the people strategy for LATAM Networks and DTC. This role will support employees in Miami as well as in the LatAm region and as such, fluency in both English and Spanish is a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Works under the direct supervision of the Director of HR and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Provide HR business partnering to assigned client groups in Miami
- Perform HR operations activities as it relates to our full Miami population in partnership with Telemundo HR COE Coordinators (TimeKeeper, MY HR, Success factors, I9s, etc.)
- Lead communication efforts for the whole business unit population across LATAM, and at time on behalf of the LATAM regions (i.e Newsletter, People News, Employee Opinion Survey Comms and Plans, Events, Performance Management comms, be liaison between Telemundo Center Comms/Employee Experience team and LATAM Networks & DTC HR)
- Drive Employee Engagement team across the region, championing initiatives for the region, guiding and supporting in execution.
- Active participator on all culture driving initiatives, including organizing, coordinating, at times hosting events i.e. manage onsite or offsite activities, including sourcing vendors, taking responsibility for logistics, employee communications, etc.
- Support on key ad hoc strategic projects for LATAM
- Liaise with Telemundo HR Coordinators to ensure smooth onboarding process for new hires
- Partner with Talent Acquisition team in recruitment efforts for positions within assigned client groups
- Provide support with any training that is scheduled, including actual training facilitation and logistics handling.
- Create and manage invoice and purchase order creations for department.
- Maintain regional organizational charts and distribution lists up to date.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 2 to 3 years of experience as HR Generalist or with specific experience advising managers and employees on HR policies, processes, leading engagement initiatives and managing employee relations issues
- Bilingual English / Spanish (verbal and written)
- Self-Starter and capacity to work autonomously
- Good influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Willing and able to work in a very fast paced environment and operate with sense of urgency.
