Reefer Trailer Mechanic

Seeking a Reefer Mechanic with truck and trailer repair experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Hialeah, FL.

Salary is between $18.00-$30.00/per year (based on experience)

In this role you will be servicing and repairing Dry Van trailers, Dump Trailers, Flatbed Trailers, Reefer Trailers, and more! 

Responsibilities:

• Meet and maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on trailers
• Perform PM inspections and make necessary repairs on trailers
• Troubleshoot ABS system and repair as needed
• Disc and drum brake repairs on semi-trailers
• Electrical work on lights and systems
• Welding and light fabrication skills
• Roll door repairs
• Support and help shop foreman and team members
• Other duties as directed

Qualifications:

• Preferable own tools and tool box or be willing to purchase
• Keep an organized and clean work area
• Prompt and reliable employee
• 1-2-year mechanic experience preferred but not required
• Effective communicator and team player
• Physical activities include: walking, being able to lift more than 20 lbs., twisting, turning, and climbing ladders
• Able to pass a drug test
