Elayn Hunt Correctional Center is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the team in the Nursing Department as a Licensed Practical Nurse! You could join the group of other medical professionals who perform the nursing and care of inmates within a state correctional facility. Job Duties:

• Provide direct patient care, including comfort, hygiene, safety, nutrition, and overall well-being, under RN or senior LPN guidance.

• Monitor and assess patients, promptly reporting changes in physical or mental status to the healthcare team.

• Collect specimens, perform diagnostic tests, and accurately record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).

• Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols and documenting care accurately.

• Participate in shift handovers, ensuring continuity of care and clear communication with the team.

• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, maintaining safety and efficiency.

• Respond to emergencies, including performing CPR and first aid as needed.

• Manage inventory and supplies, requesting and restocking medications and equipment to support patient care.
