The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc (UTFI) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Assistant Director of Student and Young Alumni Programs for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Reporting to the Senior Director of Student and Young Alumni Programs, the Assistant Director of Student and Young Alumni Programs is responsible for supporting the development, planning, and execution of meaningful programs and activities that engage students in the life of the university, the Division of Advancement, and the UT Knoxville Office of Alumni Relations.  

The purpose of this position is to aid in the creation of a culture of volunteerism and philanthropy on campus and help create the next generation of involved and engaged alumni.  Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Student Programming and Outreach: Develops and implements strategic student alumni programing and outreach. Programming includes campus wide programming and outreach events such as Welcome Wednesday (held each month during the fall and spring semester), the Big Orange Give Tailgate, and I heart UT Week events, as well as audience specific events such as Philanthro-PARTY, Dinner with 100 Vols, Grad Countdown, Grad Fair, TorchNight: A Farewell to Thee, and graduation activations. Partner with colleagues in Communications and Donor Experience to develop digital and printed communication and stewardship materials to complement programming and events. Record College student participant information and ensure such information is entered in Advancement’s technology solution called ACE, powered by salesforce.
