Description

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and No. 2 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking an accomplished, board eligible/certified Physiatrist with the ability to drive program development while maintaining a focus on clinical excellence across three major hospitals and affiliated outpatient clinics to join our PM&R consultation service. The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, chaired by Dr. Heakyung Kim, provides services at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Clements University Hospital, and their affiliated outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with residents, fellows, and medical students in one of the largest PM&R training programs in the U.S.

Role Responsibilities and Duties:

The ideal candidate will provide high quality, comprehensive clinical care to inpatients and outpatients as assigned.  Teaching responsibilities will include medical students, PM&R residents and fellows in didactic lectures and group settings as well as participation in various multidisciplinary conferences.  Research will vary depending on the candidate’s interest.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Education: MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Board Certification: ABPMR Board certified or eligible
• Licensure: Eligible for Texas medical licensure (must acquire prior to employment)
