Job Description
We're now looking for an awesome Senior Frontend Software Engineer to help us ensure that we deliver good quality products to our customers and colleagues (internal users). You will have a pivotal role in ensuring that there is an increase of collaboration & engagement from all our Zooplus customers.
The team is responsible of the CMS related content appearing in the Zooplus website, providing a way to communicate the Headless CMS with the Website and providing updated content in the different domains. The team is also responsible of the HomePage, the Footer and the Static Landing pages appearing on the site. Also we handle some custom extensions in the CMS and all the scripting related to handling of the persistence on the CMS.
As a Senior Front End Software Engineer, you will play an important role in introducing new technologies and ways of working to stay ahead of the competition, without ever compromising on quality. You will contribute and collaborate with other engineers on technical and architectural decisions, and enjoy end-to-end DevOps ownership mindset. Additionally, you will also develop your cross-functional skills as you get to work on cool projects with the latest tech, all whilst working with a talented, diverse and friendly group of people.

Being able to communicate fluently in English is a must, as a bonus we also provide Spanish classes for people who want to feel more at home here in Spain.
Most of our event based backend microservices are built in Java but we're also planning to move to Kotlin and we use cutting edge React framework in the frontend. Here are some of the cutting-edge technologies/frameworks/practices we utilise:
- React
- Typescript
- NextJS
- Node.js
- CI/CD
- InfluxDB, ElasticSearch, Grafana, Kibana, Sensu
- Kubernetes, Docker
- Amazon Web Services and cloud deployments (Lambdas,S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB), using tools such as Terraform or AWS CLI Git, Scrum, Pair Programming, Pull Request, Peer Reviewing
Qualifications
- English at working language level
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Experience using frontend frameworks (like React, Angular, Vue)
- Open minded to be involved in non frontend stuff
- Willing to use clean code principles
- You are interested in DevOps philosophy of "you build it, you run it"
