Position Purpose:
A RN- Circulator assists surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. They work outside the operating rooms sterile field by ensuring a clean and sterile environment, prepping for operations, recording surgery proceedings, monitoring surgical staff and tools and managing the delivery of samples and specimens.

Position Duties (not all inclusive)

• Acting as an advocate for the patient before, during and after surgery
• Monitoring and recording the patient's vitals pre-operation
• Preparing the surgical tools and materials that the surgical team will need during the operation
• Recording every aspect of an operation, including the names and titles of those performing the surgery, the tools used, the amount of anesthetic a patient received and how long the surgery took
• Advising the surgical team on potential harm to the patient during surgery
• Assisting surgeons during the surgery if needed
• Escorting patients to the recovery room post-operation
• Cleaning the operating room post-operation
