Job Details

Under the direction of the Vice President of Compliance, the Sr. Manager of Compliance will be charged with the overall coordination of the Anew Health Compliance Program’s routine functions and annual updates. This includes annual renewals and maintenance of all State Board of Pharmacy licenses, Policy and Procedure development and updates, and development and maintenance of employee compliance training modules.  This individual will also ensure the integrity and success of policies and procedures through routine compliance audits.  This individual will also be responsible for managing compliance licensing team members. Additional responsibilities will include review and oversight of privacy practices and patient requests and assistance with legal responses (e.g., records subpoenas).

The ideal candidate for this role will have the ability to partner effectively with all functional areas of the organization with minimal supervision. The Sr. Manager of Compliance will operate with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Management of all initial licenses and the annual renewal process of each facility’s 50 state licenses, their appropriate display, and all related recordkeeping

  • Maintaining Policy & Procedure process, to include annual policy review and update procedures, creation of new P&Ps as needed, and maintenance of the intranet P&P portal

  • Coordinate annual updates of all staff compliance related training modules and required attestations, and auditing for appropriate staff completion

  • Coordinating external Compliance, Privacy and Security audits as required by any health plans or organizations that ExactCare has a First Tier, Downstream, Related Entity (FDR) delegation agreement

  • Initial Quality Assurance and vetting of all wholesalers and suppliers/vendors and their annual compliance renewals

  • Coordinate routine/monthly employee compliance program updates and awareness campaign and measure Compliance Program effectiveness through employee surveys and evaluations

  • Managing patient HIPAA Privacy related requests, reporting, and disclosures

  • Coordinate ongoing gap analysis evaluations between existing P&Ps and compliance needs related to key regulatory standards (ie. HIPAA Privacy and Security, USP 795 and 800, PCI, HITRUST, etc) and developing plans to close gaps (new policies, updated documentation etc)

  • Assisting with compliance related audits as needed of other departments and business units as necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Strong preference for healthcare related discipline

  • Advanced degree strongly preferred (MS, MBA, MPH)

  • Demonstrated experience in a healthcare (hospital, health system, pharmacy) compliance role

  • Current certification in compliance related area strongly preferred, such as: Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or Certified Compliance Professional/Executive (CCP/CCE)
