Our Orthopedic Surgery Department is seeking to hire a full-time Research Administrator III to support a rapidly expanding portfolio of clinical and translational research. You will partner closely with faculty, investigators, and institutional partners to move innovative ideas from concept through funding and successful execution.In this role you’ll partner with investigators to coordinate funding proposals, manage submission timelines, and serve as a key point of contact with institutional research offices and sponsors. Once aware are active, you’ll oversee complex grants and contracts, monitor compliance requirements, prepare reports, and ensure funds are administered accurately throughout the life of each award.This role also plays a critical part in financial stewardship, developing budgets and projections, reviewing monthly financial reports, monitoring expenses, and advising faculty on sponsor and university policies. Regular collaboration with PIs ensures research programs stay compliant, well-funded and on track.
Salary range: $70,900/yr - $145,200/yr

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible research administration experience
- Working knowledge of the grant lifecycle, including proposal development, award setup, post‑award administration, and closeout
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex financial analysis and produce customized financial reports
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft and edit grant‑related materials in compliance with sponsor guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast‑paced research environment
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with faculty, administrators, and external stakeholders
Preferred
- Experience preparing, managing, monitoring, and forecasting grant and project budgets
- Experience working with a variety of sponsors, including federal, state, private foundations, and industry sponsors
