This position will be in our Irvine, CA office with opportunity to be on a hybrid schedule and a few days remote per week.

Join our Global Platform Data Governance team as a Data Governance Analyst, where you'll help shape the future of data governance in a dynamic, multinational technology distribution platform company.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to implement monitoring frameworks, support exception management, and contribute to regulatory compliance efforts across global platforms. You will also be able to influence best practices in data management and data processes to align closely with industry standards applicable to a large enterprise.

Your role:

  • Assist in executing data audits across master data domains (e.g., product, vendor, customer) to ensure compliance with governance policies.

  • Support exception management processes, including ticket creation, tracking, and resolution documentation.

  • Maintain audit logs, dashboards, and reports for internal reviews and external audits.

  • Document audit findings and escalate issues to senior team members for remediation.

  • Participate in governance meetings and contribute to the development of control documentation.

  • Help ensure alignment with SOX and other regulatory requirements through control testing and evidence gathering.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

You’ll work closely with multiple teams to ensure effective governance and compliance:

  • Internal Audit – to support control testing and audit documentation.

  • Finance – to ensure data accuracy and alignment with financial reporting standards.

  • Security / IT Risk – to assist with data access reviews and compliance tracking.

  • Platform Business Teams – to understand data creation processes and help resolve exceptions.

  • Data Domain Experts – to learn how data rules and definitions guide governance controls.

  • Technology / Data Engineering – to support audit automation and exception dashboards.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant work experience.

  • Preferred - CPA certification (active or in progress).

  • 2-4 years of experience in audit, compliance, or similar discipline

  • Familiarity with SOX controls, financial audits, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Excel and basic reporting tools; experience with ticketing systems is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Interest in expanding into data governance, operational controls, and enterprise compliance.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,800.00 - $130,900.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
