Role:

The Point-of-Sale Certified Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in the efficient operation of the Health Center's pharmacy. Their primary goal is to maximize collectible reimbursements by expediting payments from 3rd party payers. The P.O.S Certified Pharmacy Technician optimizes 3rd party reimbursement by overseeing the process of billing prescription claims to insurers and the resolution of rejected claims. This position also serves as a pharmacy technician when directed by the pharmacy director or the Pharmacist-in-charge.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: At least one year as a Pharmacy Tech and must have an active valid Pharmacy Technician Certification. May not possess any felony convictions and must not be listed on the OIG list of Excluded Individuals.

Education: High School Diploma or GED. Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from a nationally recognized certification board. Must have BCLS or willing to obtain within one year of hire.
