As we expand into the Burlington/North Shore market in 2026, we're looking for a Lead Carpenter who takes pride in their craft and is ready to help us build this next chapter.

You'll start in our Framingham location (covering and learning), then transition to lead projects in the Woburn/North Shore area as we grow.

What You'll Do:
As a Lead Carpenter, you'll be the on-site leader and go-to expert on residential kitchen and bath remodeling projects. Here's what that looks like day-to-day:
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead and mentor a mid-level carpenter, helping them develop their skills and careers
- Serve as the main point of contact on job sites, coordinating with Project Managers, subcontractors, and homeowners
- Execute expert-level finish carpentry and adapt plans on-site, especially when structural modifications are involved
- Maintain daily activity logs and keep projects on schedule and within budget
Customer Experience & Communication
- Work in occupied homes with professionalism and respect for customers' spaces
- Communicate proactively with homeowners to ensure satisfaction and address concerns
- Provide regular progress updates and customer feedback to your Project Manager
- Represent Norfolk's commitment to service excellence on every job
Site Management & Safety
- Understand project scope, manage materials, and coordinate with Project Manager for subcontractor schedules
- Ensure proper site preparation, protection, and mitigation in customers' homes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
- Minimize unnecessary site visits through efficient planning and execution
Quality & Profitability
- Deliver precise, high-quality workmanship that meets Norfolk's standards
- Work efficiently to complete projects within timeline and budget
- Collaborate with Project Managers on change orders and scope adjustments
- Take pride in the finished product and the customer experience you create
Requirements
What You Bring:
- Minimum 10 years of carpentry experience in residential remodeling, specifically kitchens and bathrooms
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry installation, crown molding, trim, and finish carpentry
- Experience working in occupied homes, including managing dust protection and site cleanliness
- Ability to safely assess and adapt non-structural and load-bearing walls with oversight
- Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, floor plans, elevations, and job specifications
- Buildertrend proficiency for entering daily logs, time, and photos
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring other carpenters and maintaining jobsite professionalism

Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must speak, read, and comprehend English (bilingual a plus)
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs independently and perform physical labor daily
- Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, stooping, reaching, and carrying materials
- Able to work around delivery trucks, forklifts, and active construction tools
