Job Description
We are currently looking for a Director BU Portfolio – High Power.
Primary location for the role is ideally Eden Prairie. Will also consider Ames or Neumunster as locations.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
In this role, you will take on the global portfolio management responsibility for the High Power portfolio. You will be responsible for implementing the growth strategies to drive product profitability, volume, mix, market share improvement, and pricing strategies. You will be responsible for the execution of the product lifecycle strategy, business development, support global NNW, global product marketing, rationalization, global promotion, global pricing strategy and training support. Your primary tasks will include:
- Analyzing global market & customer needs and supporting NNW efforts to drive growth of the product line. Leading the global development and deployment of marketing programs to drive organic sales for the assigned product lines
- Supporting development of product strategies/roadmaps and leading execution of the product strategies; including VOC collection and analysis, positioning, managing product, segment & channel mix, rationalization; and developing targeted value propositions
- Supporting global manufacturing footprint strategies based on customer/market requirements
- Acquiring & retaining comprehensive knowledge of global competitive positioning and competitor strategies
- Global lead for implementing strategic pricing
- Monitoring global product profitability for each product family and recommend changes to meet Danfoss top and bottom-line objectives
- Interface with the global Danfoss sales team, distributors, and customers to promote and support the sale of responsible product lines – with a strong focus on organic growth
- Travel up to 25%
Background & Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Marketing
- 7+ years of industry experience with detailed knowledge of electric, electronic or hydraulic component systems, and applications.
- Solid Project Management experience as well as facilitation skills
- Ability to work in global team environments
- Energetic personality
- Willingness to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests
- Customer- and service-oriented mindset, placing the customer at the center of your preoccupation, combined with enthusiasm about engaging with customers
- Professional English skills (oral + written)
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of people management experience.
- Experience in Product Management
- Expertise of products produced by the business unit
