Job Summary: 
This position coordinates and processes for Deaconess Home Medical Equipment &
Infusion/Freedom Medical or its subsidiaries (hereafter HME), referrals/requests from Case
Manager/Referral RNs, Ancillary Services, physician's offices, other referral sources and clients.
This position is responsible for accurate charging, billing, follow-up, refunding, and posting.
Responsible for the resolution of patient inquiries pertaining to billing.

Job Overview Task:

• Address all tasks/orders assigned within 5 business days and document follow-up actions
• Utilize telephone, email, and other communication platforms
• Receive and resolve patient account inquiries/complaints
• Post payments daily (cash deposits, EFT, departmental transfers) and reconcile funds deposited
• Responsible for sales order confirmation processes
• Responsible for A/R follow-up duties
• Responsible for scanning/uploading necessary documentation for insurance requests
• Generate and process patient/insurance adjustments and refund requests
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma(GED), one year of related experience and/or training preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted, computer literacy required; training in medical terminology, data processing, or pharmacy experience preferred.
