The Information Technology (IT) organization at Grant Thornton plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the firm's operations. Position Summary:
Information Technology Interns will participate in an 8-week program in Information Security, Cyber Defense.
Information Security
The Information Security (InfoSec) team is responsible for protecting GT and our clients from evolving security threats. Our team, including employees and consultants, works daily to safeguard our network, data, and end users. In the event of a security incident, InfoSec identifies, mitigates, and remediates risks to the firm, its clients, and employees. Part of the InfoSec team is the Cyber Defense team. The Cyber Defense team is a specialized group focused on safeguarding digital assets from cyber threats. Comprising experts in network security, threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management, the team actively identifies, mitigates, and responds to security risks. Using advanced tools, they monitor network traffic, prevent unauthorized access, and ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Constantly adapting to emerging threats, the team fortifies defenses, enforces security policies, and maintains a resilient security posture, instilling confidence in stakeholders.
This position will focus on the area of Cyber Defense Operations.
Cyber Defense Operations: This role primarily focuses on supporting the Cyber Defense team’s Operational Readiness. Responsibilities include assisting with the triage of threats and vulnerabilities, providing analysis and awareness communications, and communicating threat and risk issues across the organization. Additionally, the role involves contributing to operational management activities to ensure the efficiency of cyber defense operations, coordinating renewals for essential tools and services, and collabo
