The opportunity - What future are you building towards?

As part of the Flying Squad you will support audit teams in the audit of complex accounting transactions, such as business combinations (under common control), GAAP conversions, and legal restructurings. You will be the team member with specialized knowledge of and advise the audit team on how to audit these complex transactions. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to advise our (internal or external) clients on the application of accounting standards in the more complex accounting transactions.

• Supporting audit teams in developing new skills as a trusted advisor.
• Take on complex cases and challenge yourself to significantly develop your accounting and auditing knowledge.
• Work across our offices and with our diverse clients; The Flying Squad works across regions, providing you the opportunity to extend your network.
• Develop solutions to the challenges which our clients face with the help of the accounting experts department within EY. The Flying Squad provides you the opportunity to be creative and innovative as you are to come up with solutions to the challenges faced by clients.

 

Job requirements – Where do you start if you want to change the world?

• Professional with 3-6 years of relevant experience in the financial sector (preferably with an audit background).
• (Basic) knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS, Dutch GAAP).
• (Business level) Dutch and/or English speaking and writing skills
• A hands-on mentality and willingness to learn and challenge yourself.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate projects with audit teams and clients, as well as other involved stakeholders.
