About the role
Provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents in teaching CNA students. Follows defined policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintains a collaborative relationship with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff. Maintains an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and inservice programs. The LPN shall have the ability to provide care to geriatric residents.

Minimum:
• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse degree
LICENSE:
Minimum:
• Current New York State Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensure
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
• Long Term Care experience required.
Preferred:
• Demonstrated leadership abilities preferred.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
• Successful completion of supervised medication administration and written test.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
• Computer literacy
Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
