Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst, Global Functions to be located in Titusville, NJ.

The Senior Financial Analyst, Global Functions will provide leadership over financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting activities for Innovative Medicine Finance budgets, while partnering with VPs, CFOs, and Senior Directors to support strategic decision making. Supporting senior leaders in driving the finance function strategy. You will have responsibilities largely focused on quarter close and planning cycles.  During quarter closes, you will be responsible for booking journal entries, intercompany charges (sending sales orders and accepting purchase orders), latest thinking, budget vs actuals analysis, headcount reporting and presenting results to business partners.  During the planning cycles, you will be responsible for collecting and loading headcount into the comp tool and working with business partners on their budgets.  The role has a global overview so close partnering with regional counterparts is an essential part of the process. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be handling ad hoc requests from business partners, and driving process improvements.  Through these process improvements, you will have the opportunity to learn new systems and tools such as CFIN, Anaplan, Alteryx, and Tableau. 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Present quarterly BVA results and forecasts to VPs, CFOs, and Global Functions leadership teams.
  • Quarter close responsibilities (Journal entries, Intercompany charges, Latest Thinking, Headcount reporting, Risks and Opportunities Analysis)
  • Budget forecasting and planning (Work with business partners to create meaningful budgets, Headcount planning, Expense planning, and target transfers)
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and automate processes, lead or participate in key initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
  • Knowledge of key business drivers and strategies is critical for success and will be gained from establishing close working relationships with business partners. 
  • This position provides the opportunity to work with senior level management within finance and the functional business partners as well as cross-regional partners.

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably a major in Accounting or Finance or other related field.
  • MBA, CPA or CMA certificate is preferred. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of finance or related business experience is required. 
  • Must possess excellent analytical, conceptual, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). 
  • SAP experience is preferred. 
  • Must possess the ability to work independently, influence decision making, think creatively, challenge the status quo, and work across multiple teams.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements. 
  • Must possess the ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and proven leadership skills.
  • This position will be located in Titusville, NJ and may require up to 5% travel.
