What will I be doing?

The Consumer Technology business at Circana works with some of the most well-known and exciting companies in the world. Are you passionate about technology? Do you have an opinion on which companies are doing things right and which companies should be doing things better? Our Consumer Tech team is seeking an Account Associate, Client Development who is responsible for participating in the building of relationships with our clients, providing them with value-added insights and assisting with the driving of revenue within our accounts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with client contacts to develop strategic business insights regarding the clients’ most important business issues, both short and long-term.
  • Learn about client’s business goals and objectives to recommend and propose research solutions that provide actionable and relevant insights.
  • Help to develop key business insights regarding the clients’ most important business issues/needs, both short and long-term.
  • Assist with the expansion of contacts in the client base to include a broader mix of end users at accounts.
  • Demonstrate usage of retail point-of-sale scanner data and consumer panel data to objectively partner with manufacturers to help them grow their business and gain market share.
  • Provide input into recommendations to client leadership teams and product management teams, on matters such as promotional success, strategic brand management, and merchandising/planogramming, based on market research analysis.
  • Work with the Director, Client Development to understand the dynamics of each client’s organization and assist in the penetration of the account base to identify applications for Circana products and services.
  • Must also develop a comprehension of how the client and manufacturer/retailer relationships can be applied to assist customers in obtaining market share and growth profitability while also advancing Circana’s reputation, positioning and growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments and teams to ensure success for the business.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus an aptitude to learn client services, account management and sales skills. Experience with data analysis and working with clients a plus.
  • Ability to commute to our San Diego, CA or Port Washington, NY at least twice per month.
  • Knowledge of the Consumer and Commercial Technology industries a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and writing ability – able to distill diverse data sets into cohesive and succinct stories both in presentations, emails and word documents.
  • Strong communication skills displayed via email, phone and in person meetings.
  • Ability to synthesize data and participate in the development of meaningful conclusions/insights using POS scanner and consumer panel data.
  • Ability to generate/support creative ideas.
  • Some understanding of how category point-of-sale scanner data and consumer panel data can be used to identify business building opportunities for clients a plus.
  • Presentation skills with a comfort level presenting to small groups live or via video conference.
  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
