About the Role:
Stable Kernel is seeking a senior leader to own and accelerate our modernization and AI strategy. This role is critical to shaping our position in the market, building scalable offerings, and ensuring the successful delivery of modernization services for our clients. You will work cross-functionally across engineering, sales, and delivery to develop new service lines, drive thought leadership, and scale our consulting capabilities at the intersection of AI and enterprise software.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and evolve SK’s point of view on modernization and AI.
- Build and maintain a consultative framework that guides how we assess, design, and deliver modernization engagements.
- Champion modernization as a strategic enabler, not just technical uplift. Modernize today to innovate tomorrow.
- Offer Development
- Create and maintain productized offerings in:
- AI-accelerated engineering
- Platform/tooling integration
- App modernization
- Develop supporting sales and marketing collateral (service definitions, value props, sales decks).
- Build out “land deal” engagements to enable expansion:
- Capability assessments
- Measurement frameworks
- Thought Leadership
- Author thought pieces, speak at industry events, and publish client-facing insights.
- Act as a public-facing voice for SK’s modernization capabilities.
- Delivery Oversight
- Partner with account and delivery leadership to shape and staff modernization engagements
- Oversee delivery quality and outcomes across modernization workstreams.
- Team Building & Enablement
- Identify, mentor, and grow internal talent aligned to modernization leadership.
- Enable sales and pursuit teams to position and sell modernization offerings.
Success Looks Like:
- Revenue growth from modernization and AI offerings.
- Improved client efficiency, cost, governance, and talent enablement outcomes.
- Increased traditional delivery revenue via bundled modernization work.
- A measurable impact on SK’s market presence and brand through thought leadership.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Background in technology consulting, digital transformation, and enterprise architecture.
- Proven experience building and scaling strategic service lines.
- Deep understanding of AI trends, engineering workflows, and platform modernization.
- Strong product-thinking, with ability to build scalable frameworks and repeatable offerings.
- Executive presence with ability to influence at all levels. Both internally and externally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with bias toward action, iteration, and autonomy.
A Bit More Info:
Minimum Base Salary: $ 200,000
This is a full-time position. Stable Kernel operates a People Before Place Hybrid model, allowing most employees to choose where they can do their best work most days.
This role is open to remote candidates, although periodic travel—approximately every 6–8 weeks—is expected for key in-person meetings, such as client meetings, leadership sessions, or team planning. We’re committed to flexibility but want to be transparent that travel is a part of the job.
