Diablo/Freud Tools is looking for an energetic and creative intern to assist our print design team in driving the commercialization of our world-class brands. You are currently at a college or university pursuing a degree in graphic design or a related degree and are interested in gaining real-world experience with an industry-leading organization. You are comfortable using a PC. Previous knowledge of construction products and/or power tools is not required. Job Description
As a graphic design intern, you will work with our existing design team to assist in producing world-class communications to promote our industry leading brands. You are interested in taking your graphic design skills and applying them to off-line/print projects. An obsession with quality and the ability to solve business challenges with creativity while keeping the audience in mind is your motivation and driving-force to be the best. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist print design team in producing high quality graphics for advertising, packaging, print, literature, presentations, branding, POS, and events.
- Support in execution of sales and marketing events.
- Support with the coordination of third party print vendors to ensure marketing materials are printed correctly and delivered on time.
Qualifications
- Current university student in good standing (min. 3.0 GPA); pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in graphic design or related field of study
- Able and willing to work on-site
- Ability to work with design programs using a PC
- Demonstrable experience in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, specifically with mockups, packaging, POP and multimedia presentations
- General understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design
- Excellent communication & written skills
