2026 Future Talent Program - Global Safety Programs Centre of Excellence - Intern

Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Support Functions Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The Global Safety & Environment Intern will provide safety compliance and technical support to local site business partners related to compliance programs (including High-Risk Work, Contractor Management, Ergonomics, Fire & Life Safety programs).

Main responsibilities

• Assist with the development of technical safety guidance to support a compliant workplace.

• Support the development of company’s safety standards to ensure compliance and reduction in workplace safety risks.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop global continuous improvement initiatives to improve global safety programs. 

• Build safety capabilities by simplifying existing and creating new systems and tools that enables our customers to adapt safety requirements into daily operations.

Required Education and Skills

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors/ Master’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology or another technical program.

• Completed at least 2 years of College course work

• Able to work full time for a period of 9-12 weeks

• Critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and computer skills

• Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes

• Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions

Preferred Education and Skills:

• Prior internship or work experience in the Environmental, Health, and Safety field or in chemical manufacturing.

• Ability to convey ideas and explain decisions in a clear and concise manner.

• Ability to work in a small team

Salary range:
The salary range for this role is $39,600.00-$105,500.00 USD
