About the role

<p><strong>Scope of Travel: </strong>Spokane, Spokane Valley, Pullman, Yakima, Richland, Coeur d’Alene, Nampa, Boise, Meridian, Twin Falls, and Idaho Falls<br><strong>Position Type: </strong>Full Time<br><strong>Schedule: </strong>4 10-hour days (40 hours per week)<br><strong>Expected Hiring Range: </strong>$190,000 - $220,000 annually (based on experience and performance)<br><strong>Other Compensation:</strong> Hired applicant will be eligible for retention/sign-on bonuses and relocation advance if applicant satisfies the distance from clinic location requirements. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Position Summary<br></strong>The Traveling General Dentist supports Willamette Dental’s evidence-based treatment philosophy, mission, vision and core values by performing the full scope of general dentistry permitted by state.<br><strong><br>Essential Position Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be willing and able to travel to the locations listed in the scope of travel.</li> <li>Embody Willamette Dental Group’s treatment philosophy, mission and values and ensure they are portrayed throughout the practice.</li> <li>Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, at the highest available scope of licensure per the applicable state’s Dental Practice Act, including expanded function Dental Assistants where applicable and Hygienists with all state specified permits and endorsements (nitrous oxide, local anesthetic and restorative).</li> <li>Assist with coordinating multiple schedules during the course of the work day ensuring patients have appropriate access to care, that the patient’s experience is exceptional, and that tomorrow’s work is done today.</li> <li>Ensure quality care and adherence to the company treatment philosophy: data from the dashboard, specialty referrals, EV Report – reviewing it, counseling as needed.</li> <li>Adheres to the criteria of the office strategic goals, the economic value report of their offices and themselves: patient count, routine work, Customer Experience, access and quality care.</li> <li>Embrace Customer Experience and patient transparency with the patient experience being foremost.</li> <li>Obtain and maintain Nitrous Oxide credentials and/or other forms of minimal conscious sedation.</li> <li>Strict adherence to OSHA and blood borne pathogens policies.</li> <li>Follow the FDA and ALARA principle guidelines when taking intra-oral and panoramic radiographs</li> <li>Diagnose and treat dental issues related to disease, malformations and injuries and develop individualized treatment plans for such.</li> <li>At all new patient and continuing care appointments present and educate the proactive dental care plan.
