SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Reliability Engineering Manager and mentoring by senior engineers, this position will support Maintenance, Engineering, and Reliability teams by performing duties described below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contributes value-added work in applying engineered solutions to enhance the productivity and reliability of manufacturing equipment. Typical activities include creating and modifying 2-D drawings and 3-D models of machine components, researching commercially available parts, and assisting in implementing and testing prototype modifications.
• Interfaces with engineers concerning the design, implementation, and maintenance of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems to ensure all are process capable, available, reliable, and sustainable.
• Assignments will increase in complexity based on demonstrated proficiency and experience.
• Other tasks as may be assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and model systems, formulate and test hypotheses, and prototype and validate solutions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the design and specification of components to solve real-world problems.
• Clear, concise, professional communication with peers and associates.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Engineering or Engineering Technology program.
• Accepted in the co-operative education program of the college or university.
