The Opportunity

The position of Warehouse Supervisor is within our Warehouse Distribution-Toxicology division located in Portsmouth, Virginia.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will plan, organize, and monitor the printing, picking, and shipping of all point-of-care and lab supply orders for the workplace vertical. You will also manage daily sales order uploads and maintain payroll for lab supply employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate the performance of Workplace employees.
  • Monitor daily reports, including Open Order and Backorder reports.
  • Meet all site goals as directed by the site director.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels across Workplace Lab and POCT verticals.
  • Draft work instructions and standard operating procedures in Agile.
  • Act as a liaison between the warehouse and sales to resolve customer requests.
  • Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and uphold health, safety, and security in the workplace at all times.
  • Train, coach, and provide feedback to employees.
  • Oversee the printing, picking, packing, shipping, and quality-checking processes.
  • Work with management on NPIs or Chain of Custody revisions.
  • Maintain and manage a warehouse cleaning schedule.
  • Assist the site leader in coordinating, organizing, and managing special projects.
  • Create, implement, monitor, and manage all work instructions and procedures in the Warehouse Workplace Department.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:

  • Associate degree and or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience along with leadership experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/APO and Business Warehouse data usage), analysis, and presentation.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
