Afternoon Teacher – Classroom Support Role
Location: The Learning Experience – Gainesville, VA
Pay: $16–$20 per hour
Schedule: Afternoon Shift, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Gainesville is seeking an Afternoon Teacher to support classrooms during later-day routines and dismissal transitions. This role helps ensure a smooth, safe, and positive end-of-day experience for children and families.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple classrooms and supporting a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

•  Support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children 
•  Assist with afternoon routines, playground supervision, and dismissal transitions 
•  Help maintain a clean and organized learning environment 
•  Provide ratio coverage as needed across classrooms 
•  Communicate professionally with families during pickup times 
•  Collaborate with teaching staff and leadership 
•  Follow Virginia licensing and safety requirements 

Qualifications

•  High school diploma required 
•  Prior childcare experience required 
•  Comfortable supporting multiple age groups 
•  Reliable and flexible with afternoon scheduling 
•  Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
