The Manager, AML Financial Crime Risk Oversight oversees the team and leads 2nd-line oversight activities and monitoring of the AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC compliance programs for covered TD businesses and legal entities, including managing critical program initiatives and handling complex/high-risk matters and escalations.
Department Overview:
The AML Financial Crimes Risk Management Team (US) consists of a dynamic group of professionals that identify, assess and escalate issues, as well as opportunities to enhance processes and controls (in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements). In addition, ensure the program adheres with federal, legal and regulatory requirements. The FCRM US team is seeking to hire a highly motivated Exam Management/Audit Project Manager to join the group and provide guidance on OFAC/AML/ABAC FCRM related material.
This individual will be responsible in developing, managing governance documents, coordinating with stakeholders on Issue related material, ensure proper engagement with various lines of businesses, deliver presentations and trainings in a tight deadline driven environment. In addition, the ideal candidate will assist with the 'check and challenge' process. When necessary, support the group with remediation special projects.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record of supporting and working with a senior management team and as well as with multiple functions within an organization, preferably in an audit setting. Critical to a candidate’s success will be their ability to prioritize, communicate with all levels of leadership and their strong sense of accountability.
The ideal candidate must be discreet and able to operate under minimal oversight, find creative solutions to resolve issues and identify process enhancements, execute tasks and projects in a tight deadline driven environment, and communicate effectively and responsively.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance, supporting compensation decisions, promoting teamwork, and handling disciplinary actions, as required
- Leads and manages a team of AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC professionals and overall operation of a diverse group in an area of moderate risk, complexity, or scope, while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project/initiative success and achieve business results
- Provides oversight to aspects of an assigned portfolio of mature or non-complex and dynamic TD businesses and legal entities
- Expert knowledge of the business and operational functions supported
- Leads teams with multiple points of internal and external contacts
- Work focus time horizon is medium to long term (6 months to a year) with moderate to high focus on strategic planning
- Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses/technology, and organizational practices/disciplines
- Contact for business management, external/internal auditors, dealing with non-routine information
- Sound knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own function/business
- Involves contact with cross-functional teams across TDBG and external contacts
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience
