Job Description
The Encore Boston Harbor Assistant Manager of Facilities reports directly to the Assistant Director of Engineering. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Facilities department during the swing shift.
In addition, this position will work directly with the managers and leads of the Facilities Department providing operational and administrative assistance. This includes oversight of projects, preventative maintenance, day-of corrective maintenance and guest calls, and overall leadership of the second shift.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Assists with short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement. Identifies key drivers of success.
- Manages the performance of team members under his/her area of responsibility.
- Monitors all activities of the department to ensure that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and controls property wide are enforced.
- Ensures department delivers and maintains a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction.
- Assist with Facilitates communication throughout the property, and with each shop for small and large projects occurring during shift.
- Keeps informed of all new developments within the department and makes recommendations designed to maximize department and company success.
- Utilizes Maximo regularly to track team workload and preventative maintenance completion.
- Effectively manages internal and external guest relations, which will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Responsible for addressing guest and team member issues as appropriate.
- Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations.
- Must have the ability to promote positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team member, with all Encore contractors, and in all interactions within the Host and Surrounding communities as an ambassador of the Encore brand.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of processes within the Engineering department.
- Works with vendors to ensure purchased & manufactured component conform to company standards.
- Collaborates with the Assistant Chief Engineer to manage the department’s service contracts.
- Analyzes failures in order to determine cause and extent of failures.
- Reviews contract documents including technical specifications and drawings.
- Successfully manages client relationships.
- Assists in the training and development of other staff members.
- Prepares reports.
- Works with safety as a priority and follows department and company safety standards.
- Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
- Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.

Age, Gaming and Certifications:
21 years of age or above.
Will be required to obtain and maintain registration, or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
Construction license required.
Current and Valid Driver’s license required
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
Specific signage and corporate branding experience required
Requires strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
