Maintenance Task Planner – On Wing Services

Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid Working)

An exciting hybrid working opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Task Planner to join our Indianapolis, IN team. As our Maintenance Task Planner, you will be responsible for the implementation and verification of maintenance procedures being performed in maintaining gas turbine engines and components. Ensuring the accuracy of the maintenance task documents through validations of the task, required skills, risks and human factors.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve processes, procedures and maintenance techniques used by the repair station to meet the requirements our quality system and regulatory bodies
  • Develop and implement work package documents and procedures (technical instructions, job cards, tooling, etc.) clearly defining the maintenance process and controls, taking account of process risk and task criticality
  • Lead activities in the development of the repair stations electronic documentation process
  • Identify required tooling and parts in the development of maintenance task card
  • Work conjointly with the training department to identify training needs as well as Maintenance planners in development and issuance of jobs and assignments
  • Competency using Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) with 4+ years of aviation propulsion maintenance and 145 repair stations, OR
  • Associates degree with 3+ years of aviation propulsion maintenance and 145 repair stations
  • FAA Airframe & Power Plant Licence
  • This position is a FAA designated safety-sensitive position.  Selected candidate must successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check, a FAA/DOT drug screen that tests for the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and Amphetamines (or metabolites of those drugs) and comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.
  • In order to be considered for this position, you must be a US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Flatirons and Pinpoint operating systems
  • FAA FAR 145 repair station experience
  • Experience in Process Improvement
  • Green Belt
  • Experience in Risk management
