This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Deputy Quality Assurance Manager, to join our management team helping oversee the approximate $590 million MTA Park Avenue Viaduct Project, in Manhattan, NY, consisting of the total removal and replacement of eight city blocks of critical rail infrastructure, alternative delivery project. WSP is the Program Management Consultant (PMC) for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) overseeing the project. Be involved in projects with our PMC Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Assist Project quality manager in review of project quality management system.
- Acts as owner liaison to interpret and assure that constructor is generally complying with the requirements set forth in contract drawings and specifications, along with appropriate regulatory agencies such as the Federal Transit Authority.
- Reviews constructors' quality plans, submittals, policies and procedures, making recommendations for revision if necessary to improve overalll effectiveness of the program.
- Assists in facilitating and attending regularly scheduled audits for constructors' quality management systems and field/shop activities.
- Interface with the assigned project inspectors on a regular basis to help ensure appropriate inspections and audits are being performed.
- Perform field surveillance activities of identified nonconformance and deviations to determine corrective actions are implemented and effective.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of relevant quality inspection, auditing and management experience.
- Applied knowledge of the accepted requirements for rail, track and signal construction, along with quality management guidelines.
- Oversee internal/external audit programs at onsite and offisite faciltiies in accordance with ISO 9001
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or combination of education, experience and relevant certifications such as ASQ.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on familiarity with MTA / FTA Guidelines.
- Proficiency with MS WORD Suite and MS EXCEL.
- Document management system experience, such as SharePoint, e-Builder,
This role is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of this policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. A hybrid work schedule is possible,and will be discussed with the successful candidates.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $83,100 – $169,500
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
