About the role

Description

About Us: Headquartered in Chicago, Performance Trust Capital Partners, LLC is an investment bank that combines Wall Street scale with the agility of an independent, employee-owned firm. We help financial institutions uncover overlooked opportunities, navigate complexity, and make decisions grounded in insight—not impulse. Our work is focused on long-term impact and relationships built on what matters most: trust and enduring performance.

About the Position:  Performance Trust Capital Partners is seeking a talented and driven Administrative Assistant to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Administrative team, with a dedicated focus on our Investment Banking practice. This is a high-impact role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-first environment and is eager to grow alongside a best-in-class banking team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional organizational instincts, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities with poise.

Please Note: While we love connecting with curious candidates, we want to be transparent that informal conversations with our team do not factor into hiring decisions. The best way to move forward is to apply directly as we review every application carefully.

Specifically, this individual will be responsible for the following:

Investment Banking Support (50%)

  • Create, update, and maintain Word documents, PDFs, and Excel files with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
  • Manage and maintain data within the client relationship management (CRM) system, ensuring information is current and actionable

  • Maintain an inventory of commonly used business resources and manage replenishment as needed
  • Develop and maintain an IB-specific extension of the FIG HUB
  • Provide ad hoc project support across the IB department as needed

FIG Administrative Support (50%)

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for multiple department leaders, managing correspondence and ensuring clear, professional communication across internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate complex schedules, organize meetings, and support optimal time management for senior leaders
  • Plan and execute internal and external events from logistics to on-site execution that advance the organization's goals and culture
  • Manage all aspects of business travel, including itinerary planning, accommodations, and logistical coordination
  • Respond effectively to urgent or time-sensitive situations, implementing contingency plans and maintaining communication to ensure business continuity
  • Collaborate with the broader FIG Administrative team on strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects
  • Facilitate communication and coordination across IB and FIG to create a seamless, consistent support experience
Requirements

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3–5 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a professional office environment such as financial services, consulting, or a similarly fast-paced industry
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with CRM platforms and document management systems is a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
