ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

TelevisaUnivision Local Media is looking to add a news reporter to join our team.  This position will be reporting to the Assistant News Director.

This position will require the employee to be part or join the SAG-AFTRA bargaining unit.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Responsible for Investiative planning, producing and reporting in Spanish for our multiplatform news products

• Be the on-air representative of the station’s consumer and investigative effort

• Ability to think on your feet during live shots and great story telling skills

• Gather news information and prepare if for on air delivery, for on line and for mobile applications

• Must be able to work well under strict deadlines

• Stong knowledge of social networking in regards to content gathering and distribution

• Able to work long hours and a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, when necessary

• Experience working with legal team and working knowledge of local, state and federal laws, as they relate to investigations, undercover reporting and hidden cameras

• Strong knowledge of journalistic ethics and laws

YOU HAVE:

• Bachelors Degree in Communicaitons or Journalism required

• 5+ years TV reporting experience in Spanish Language Broadcasting preferred

• Investigative and consumer affairs reporting experience is a plus

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach and sit for up to (8) hours

• Must be willing to work from office in Los Angeles

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
