Today, the chefs of Upper Crust Food Service prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly for students across the country.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Utility team member to join our Operations department. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining cleanliness and functionality in the kitchen, ensuring that our operations run smoothly. This is an hourly, full-time position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork.

What You'll Do

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Wash and store dishes, glassware, and other items according to procedures.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling in compliance with safety standards.
• Help with basic food prep tasks as directed by kitchen staff.
• Ensure all workstations are clean, sanitized, and organized.
• Monitor kitchen tools and alert supervisors about repairs or replacements needed.
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or related environment is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team setting.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen safety and sanitation standards is preferable.
