About Us

The Goddard School of Gahanna is a warm, nurturing preschool dedicated to early childhood development through play-based learning, structure, and care. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and caring individual to support both our classroom and administrative operations.

Position Overview

This dual-role position combines preschool teaching responsibilities with office administrative support. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and is also comfortable handling clerical and organizational tasks.

Responsibilities

Preschool Teacher Duties

• Support and lead age-appropriate activities for children ages [X–X]
  
  
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and positive classroom environment
  
  
• Assist with lesson plans, daily routines, and classroom management
  
  
• Observe and support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
  
  
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff
  
  
• Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations

Office Administrator Duties

• Answer phones, emails, and greet parents/visitors
  
  
• Manage attendance, enrollment paperwork, and student records
  
  
• Assist with scheduling, billing, and basic bookkeeping tasks
  
  
• Order supplies and maintain organized office systems
  
  
• Support the director with general administrative tasks
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children (preschool or daycare preferred)
  
  
• Basic office/administrative experience
  
  
• Strong communication and organizational skills
  
  
• Ability to multitask and work independently
  
  
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  
  
• Background check clearance required
  
  
• Early Childhood Education coursework or certification is a plus
  
  

Schedule

• Part-time hours, typically [M-F, 1-6]
  
  
• Some flexibility required based on school needs
  
  

Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
