Associate Laboratory Assistant, St Patrick Hospital-Broadway Bldg-Missoula MT

Providence is offering up to $2,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment.

The Lab Aide I is responsible for completing and maintaining competency in phlebotomy, specimen processing, and basic client service tasks. As a phlebotomist, the expectation is to obtain blood samples from patients in a timely manner while following proper collection policy. Completion of phlebotomy competency will be required after 3 months of starting in this position. As a specimen processor, the aide will ensure appropriate labeling has occurred and handle specimen according to policy. Completion of Specimen processing competency will be required after 3 months of starting in this position.

Shift Details:

• Part time, 0.01 FTE, 0.4 hours per week, Variable Shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certificate upon hire
• Less than one year experience as a phlebotomist and/or completion of a Phlebotomy program.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
