The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for the direct oversight of the construction clean operation, shift supervisors, lead workers and front-line employees in an active construction semiconductor facility. The OM is further responsible for ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements are being met and that supervisor, leads and front-line employees are complying with all safety, quality and compliance standards established by the company, by our clients and by regulatory authorities.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Note: Not all duties assigned to this position are included.
- Supervises and controls the cleanup operations of the construction site (including, buildings, trailers, parking lots and surrounding grounds)
- Responsible for administering and/or implementing policies, systems, programs, processes, procedures and/or plans
- Maintains staff by working with HR to recruit, select, and train employees; ensures a safe and secure work environment and develops personal growth opportunities
- Delivers world class training programs that ensure team members remain attentive to job duties
- Accommodates increase/decreased client staffing requests
- Analyzes and resolve quality and customer service problems; identify trends; recommend improvements
- Meets financial targets through effective scheduling and time management
- Effectively coaches, counsels and disciplines employees
- Sets a positive and professional example for workforce
- Establishes and maintain effective communication and working relationships with client and ABM staff
- Complies with all safety and security procedures established by the company, by our clients and by regulatory authorities
- Enforces ABM rules and policies regarding employee conduct by advising personnel of the company’s rules and policies, issuing verbal warnings and written reprimands for violations, and recommending progressive disciplinary action to the immediate supervisor as appropriate.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish, preferred
- Ability to train, manage and develop a team
- High energy level with strong commitment to service quality
- 3-5 years of operational experience in managing personnel
- Previous operational experience working in a manufacturing facility strongly desired but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends if needed
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals and handbooks
- Possess and utilize effective listening skills
- Basic understanding of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office
- Must be bilingual (Spanish)
WORKING CONDITIONS
Conditions may require walking, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, heavy lifting (less than or equal to 50 pounds), bending, working in awkward positions handling equipment and materials. Employees will be required to wear protective clothing and/or respiratory equipment when conditions warrant.
In order to operate a vehicle at the customer’s site, employees must obtain an ABM drivers permit per the ABM Drivers Safety MVR registration program. This policy checks for a valid State ID along with a citation background check, and those with high risk driving habits will need additional driver education in order to obtain the permit. Employees who operate company vehicles must consistently meet the requirements of the Facility Vehicle Safety Program.
